Visited at the weekend whilst on holiday and came for a meal, the food was lovely and staff attentive, would visit again.
Amazing meal here tonight. My husband and I travel a lot and always have a curry one night wherever we are. This was one of the best. Well done you were great hosts.
Excellent food, good service despite being full and very busy. The naan bread was exceptional, we ordered a 2nd naan they were so good.
Came here for the first time, just my husband and I. Couldn't fault the service or the food. I never leave reviews but felt I had to because we had such a wonderful experience with this place.
We were welcomed into the restaurant which was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We each had a different curry that was freshly prepared. The spices and flavours were perfect. Will definitely go back when we visit Bude again.
Stayed in Bude and visited bayleaf based on previous reviews. We booked a table and ended up running late, they were happy to keep our table and advised it was busy so may be delay in food being served, grateful to be told this. Its was busy but my daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal, everything was very tasty and service was timely and friendly. Would definitely go back if visit area again.
Went in on chance we could get a table after having takeaway from there last year we were over the moon we got in the food was fantastic so tasty fresh and piping hot dishes we had not heard of before staff lovely host very pleasant and helpful the lock keepers Shiraz was delicious even took a bottle home we will be going again in our weeks stay.
We hadn't booked a table and thought we would try our luck at just turning up. We waited around 10 mins for a table which wasn't a problem. Took a little time to get a drink and order our food. The food was worth the wait, the spice/heat and flavours in our dishes were amazing.
We hadn't booked but were welcomed in and shown to our table, we noticed 2 tables of 8 had been reserved and the restaurant was nearly full too! Our drinks and food arrived seamlessly and our meal was absolutely delicious! The staff were all very friendly and efficient. This is clearly a very popular restaurant and its rating is well deserved.
We went to this restaurant while we were in Bude on holiday. The staff were lovely and friendly. We had 3 different meals and they were all lovely. The owner came over to us while we were eating and we had a lovely chat. And then at the end of the evening, I ask my brother in law if it was still raining and the owner offered us a lift home. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
My husband, my sister and I went here for a evening meal while we were on holiday in Bude. The food and the staff were amazing. The owner even offered us a lift back to our holiday cottage as it was raining, which was really kind of her. We did not take her up on the offer as we did not want to put her out.
Really enjoyed our meals here. They were exactly what we expected we certainly recommend this place, excellent service.
Walked past this place a couple of times in the day and decided to try it out in the evening. Friendly clean and food was lovely. When in bude again we will come back thank you.
We weren't disappointed with our take away. I had a chicken Jalfreezi (which was a decent heat with hot chillis) and my aunt had a lamb tikka masala. Both came with great chunks of tender meat. The sauces were delicious and full of flavour. The pilau rice fantastic. The poppadoms were warm and crispy and the peshwari naans were big, and a perfect sweet company to the hot curry. A plateful and enough to warm up later on. Very pleased.
We chose to eat here whilst staying for a weekend in Bude. The food was delicious, we had a mixed kebab to start, followed by a chicken tikka makhani and a chicken tikka madras. The madras was the best I've had in a long time - just the right amount of heat! The peshwari naan was huge and cooked to perfection... not soggy or had a great crispy base.
The owners were very friendly and the service quick even though the rugby was on and they had a lot of takeaways going out. Would highly recommend and will definitely return when we are next in Bude.
